Adult Multicultural Education Services (AMES) educates and provides services to almost 50 000 people every year.

AMES Education provides English language education, literacy and numeracy and vocational programs.  There are 11 AMES education centres in Victoria, and in 2006 over 10 000 learners studied in the Adult Migrant Education Program.

AMES RLI, a unit of the Education Division, which develops resources and innovative learning solutions, is currently developing downloadable audio content for English language learning.  In 2007 Stage 2 of this development will trial RSS feeds with students and teachers.
